Dr. Suhie initially trained as a medical laboratory scientist and served as program manager and clinical instructor for the medical technology department at Ohio State University for 5 years. Following completion of her doctorate, she began teaching part-time in exercise science and geriatric health & wellness at Sacred Heart University, while raising her children. After discovering health coaching, she completed training with the Mayo Clinic in well-being coaching and became a national board certified health and wellness coach.
Michele currently works part-time as a wellness coach for a health insurance company, as well as maintaining a small private practice in health coaching, lifestyle medicine and parish wellness. She continues to teach online courses for Sacred Heart University in pathophysiology and lifestyle medicine, as well as teaching continuing education courses for fellow NBC-HWCs. In addition to being certified in lifestyle medicine, Michele is a certified instructor of mindfulness-based strengths practice (MBSP) through the VIA Institute on Character.
